mindaugas
I have a Gateway 7422GX with a mobility Radeon 9600 (64MBs) RAM. I installed the AGPGart kext and tried callisto drivers but I cannot get 1280x800 resolution on the laptop. I tried adding to the string to com.apple.Boot.plist as well and still no luck. I only get 1024x768 At this point I don't even care about quartz or anything, I just want the native res. Anyone have any ideas? Different driver I can try? I'm going to try and edit the ATIRadeon9700 kext as well, and add my device ID to it. Device ID = 0x4e50 I'm running 10.5.2 right now, fresh install of kalyway using speedstepkernel. added my device ID to 9700 kext and still no 1280x ... what am I doing wrong
DigitalCrypto
I had same machine and my screen inverter went out. I was able to get the networking working but the resolution was a pita. I tried all kinds of things but couldn't get the external monitor working right either. So good luck with all that.
drlarsen77
You need to edit the Info.plist in ATIRadeon9700GA.plugin. Look in there for IONDRVFramebuffer and change it to CallistoFB. Remember case is important. Repair disk permissions, reboot and you should have all supported resolutions.
Lactobacillus P
I only got the same card working on Tiger 10.4.11 on my SSE2 Acer Travelmate 292LMi laptop, albeit with resolution change, CI and QE with help of patched radeon.kexts I believe this card only has PPC coded binaries on Leopard and no intel kexts.
