krassi Vassev
Thanks, it works, but still "movist" is better playing MKV. I did several tests and on some MKV, QTX is having slow performances.

WOW thanks I never heard of it before but movist is great, its like if vlc and quicktime had a baby and put it on steroids
olav
Thanks, works on my macbook with intel 950 graphics, but qtx seems to be quite slow compared to plex and movist. However, at least there is a meaning with qtx installed now when it can play mkv

deanr
Thanks.. Can you explain how did you managed to compile this beauty ?! They updated the source code but are waiting to fix other problems before making an official release, compiled with developer tools from the Snow Leopard DVD Needed svn for osx http://www.open.collab.net/downloads/community/ command to get source and open project in xcode svn co http://svn.perian.org/trunk perian-svn open perian-svn/Perian.xcodeproj Had to change the active sdk in xcode to 10.5 or 10.6 and set the active target to PerianPane and click build, after that you will have the new Perian.prefPane file somewhere in perian-svn/build folder
