X700 graphic card It is work in 1024x768.(I think VESA driver) Then I use omni's ati driver Build 007, June 06, 2006 , NOT WORK.( i get distortion like the screen is out of sync) Then I use old omni's ati driver Build 003 (fixed), May 27, 2006 , It is WORK. But resolutions only 640x480, 800x600 and 1024x768. Koverg Patch dont work. I spand too many times to set 1280x800, but I dont succes. I read carefully all install manual. I dont edit EDID in Info.p.. Do I need edit EDID , besacue i read that EDID control from BIOS? scavo Posted June 18, 2006 Share Posted June 18, 2006 I finally succesfully installed osx86 natively on my acer aspire 5024 with the prepatched ATI ATA drivers on osx86DVD. Once its installed i still get the " root device error" when i restart the machine and the darwin bootloader starts. I'm Pretty clueless, because i used to get this error on DVD bootup, but since i have this ATI ATA driver on it, it lets me install natively.. I have an ATI x200 (SB450) chipset.. yarrix Posted August 2, 2007 Share Posted August 2, 2007 hi dudes, with my acer aspire 5020 (amd turion 1.8, x700, broadcom wireless), i add the 4318 id to the Info.plist, then I mask the following pins on the broadcom card : pin 11,13 they are on the top side of the board, where the antenna plugs are, and counting from left to right, they are 6th and 7th pins. this gives me always on wireless. don't forget to change to en1 from en0, in Preferences/Systemconfiguration. so the wireless issue on this laptop is solved. cheers. respond if you need more details.
