  1. Ciao uBuCry! anche io non riuscivo a far partire l'installazione (a me dava l'errore still waiting for root device) quindi ho seguito .***ATTENZIONE!
  2. hey, i have an hackintosh with installed Snow leopard (hazard) 10.6.2, few days ago i tried to update to 10.6.5 with the combo update and now when i boot it just freezes at the apple logo, the loading circle doesn't even appear... if i run with -v i see the kexts loading and then a black screen, it freezes there... How can i solve the problem? thanks in advice! EDIT: a guy on irc said that it's a videocard related problem, but before the update i installed the radeon 4890 exotic patch for 10.6.5... EDIT2: problem solved, it was just the karnel, i replaced match_karnel with a 10.6.5 karnel using macdrive on windows and now it's working
  3. So, sorry if i haven't anwsered, i got it working with -f, but now i've got a new problem... if i update (from 10.6.2) to 10.6.5 it just freezes during the boot( at the apple, without the loading circle): if i boot with -v i see the kexts loading and then a black screen and it freezes there. anyway i think it's better to make a new topic here is it Link to topic
  4. I installed it with vmware, but when i boot i se the apple logo charging , then i hear the music, but it charges forever... if i click a key i hear the "bump" sound! what does it means?? the video drivers are wrong??? help plz EDIT: In safe mode (-x) it runs!!! but in normal mode with -v it shows this screen: Screenshot (btw it says "jnl: unknown-dev: flushing fs disk buffer returned 0x5") What does it means? Thanks EDIT2: So, i'm back. I've read that the "jnl: unknown-dev: flushing fs disk buffer returned 0x5" is caused by the journaling, so from terminal i disabled journaling, i don't get the error but if i boot in "normal mode" with -v it gets stuck. Here's the screenshot http://i55.tinypic.com/m9am8g
  5. gasman, thanks for your anwser, but i have the "still waiting for root device" BEFORE the installation... i can't even install snow leopard...
  6. hey guys i'm new to this forum! now, i write because i have a problem installing my (hazard) hackintosh (snow leopard 10.6). When i boot it from dvd it loads and says "still waiting for root device", here's a screen: Screenshot if i run it with "rd=disk0" it finds my SATA HD but goes in karnel panic, if i run it with "rd=disk1" it finds my USB HD (220GB) but goes in karnel panic Looks like hackintosh hates me. I also tried iDeneb and iAkatos, always same problem... i tried running in AHCI mode, always same, i even tried to connect my old IDE HD... nothing You can find my system spec on my signature, thanks in advice EDIT: The report generated with Everest, more info about my system spec, hope it helps!
