thanks a lot i think this post have to be pinned this works greats. something weard i din't need to use the dvi2vga dongle in 10.6.3 and 10.6.2 wow lets see how difilcult will be in newers versions of Snow Leopard.

for other people using this video card i din't use evoenable or aty_init .just what he said in this post and chameleon. this VC works perfecly. thanks

i have a question. if a buy the ati HD 4890 works the same?

10.6.4

The same procedure

I had no problems

:P

Emmmh,

May I ask you, what bootloader do you use (chamelon, PC_EFI)?

a) Please give version of chameleon like "strings /boot | grep Cham"

For me this gives: Darwin/x86 boot v5.0.132 - Chameleon v2.0-RC4 r684

;) You install 10.6.4, only bootloader and no other graphic injector and your graphic cards pci-id is 1002:9442?

c) Resolution 1920x1200@60 works on both displays with QE/CI?

d) "uname -a" on terminal gives text like x86_64, mean you boot the LP64 Kernel?

e) Please show output of com.apple.Boot.plist

Thanks

Chameleon-2.0-RC4-r684

Dear MaLd0n

Thank you. Only difference I see for me is PciRoot=1, but mine should be =0. You can very this settings e.g. with "gfxutil -f display".

(My: DevicePath = PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1,0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x0))

On 10.6.4 I got KP in ATIRadeonX2000.kext with Chameleon (684) and PC_EFI (10.6) with only "GraphicsEnabler=Yes". Using EVOEnabler.kext I got blank screens, meaning no monitor connected in systemprofiler - so no display.

On 10.6.2. I got only one display to work, but with EVOEnabler.kext.

So I think the problem for me is in the DSDT tables.

Could you provide me yours to compare it, please. (GetDSDT; iasl -d dsdt.aml => output is dsdt.dsl) and your output from "ioreg -fl" (as attachment?)

My card is from Sapphire with one HDMI, DVI and VGA outbut, but only DVI works on 10.6.2.

Thanks for your help.

Thanks, I'll check this. But it looks like, that I got KP with only "GraphicsEnabler=Yes" in ATIRadeonX2000.kext.

On the other hand Dualscreen don't work in 10.6.2 with EvoEnabler and in 10.6.4 nothing, means no display found aka Black Screens.
