fede77
Hi! I'm trying to do the same, but no luck. I edited : /System/Library/CoreServices/loginwindow.app/Contents/Resources/English.lproj/AboutThisMac.strings using the Property List Editor from Xcode Developer Tools for Snow Leopard. Using Terminal sudo /Developer/Applications/Utilities/Property\ List\ Editor.app/Contents/MacOS/Property\ List\ Editor Then open the string, change serial number and save, but dosen't work. Beerkex'd
Use Chameleon 2.0 with an unmodifed AppleSMBIOS.kext and a properly configured smbios.plist in /Extra. Search insanelymac for 'smbios.plist' and visit the Voodoo Projects forum and read the FAQ and the documentation to learn more.
