Hi everyone. I've successfully got iATKOS 1.0ir2 running on my Dell D830 with nVidia 140m, but I wanted to give the Kalyway 10.5.2 version a try.

Unfortunately, after downloading and burning, upon attempting to boot the dvd, i get the darwin bootloader. I've tried different kernel boot options (vanillakernel and such) but to no avail, it still boots up from mach_kernel.

the real issue is what it displays during boot. this is the last few lines of what i see when it hangs:

Extension "com.apple.driver.ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin" has immediate dependencies on both com.apple.kernel and com.apple.kpi components; use only one style.
IOAPIC: Version 0x20 Vectors 0:23
*solid box chararcter*

any ideas?

I thought the Kalyway 10.5.2 was just an update, but I could be wrong. When I did it, I installed Kaly 10.5.1 first, then "upgraded" to 10.5.2. Unfortunately, I had problems with 10.5.2 and my video card, so I'm back to 10.5.1 for now.

EDIT: Boot into 10.5.1, then put in the Kaly 10.5.2 disc and run the update from within 10.5.1. AFAIK, it's not bootable by itself.
