HI. I've got kalyway 10.5.2 on an intel gma950 vaio, and all was working perfectly until i installed a "graphics update" that came up in macs softwrae update application.

when it tries to boot, it goes through the usual apple logo and hten just goes to a grey screen with very faint horizontal lines. the external monitor doesn't turn on either.

i;ve tried booting with -v and it finishes all the verbose stuff ok, so it's not hanging on anything, and there appears to be hard disk activity when the screen comes up so i'm guessing it's loaded just not showing it.

booting with -x safe mode still does it.

i have access to the disk through windows but don;t know what to copy from the dvd to the mac drive.

anyone had this before?

nevermind, booted in to windows, copied appleintelgmax1300fb.kext and appleintelintegratedframbuffer.kext adn system.kext from the cd and it works fine!

dunno why that worked, i just chose the three that were changed when i updated. but didn't set any permissions or anything. should i do that now? and how exactly do i do it?
