macmedude
I finally got kalyway installed and working this morning, here's how I did it. Formatted drive as GUID 2 partitions, Leopard and OSX_Data installed EFI v8.0 as explained in the forums Installed Kalyway 10.5.1 with Vanilla kernal and no other options selected Updated with Kalyway 10.5.2 Combo package Installed 9.2 Vanilla kernal from Kalyway kernals package Installed nvinject 0.33 to enable all graphic modes Installed new kexts (found in the forums) to enable all SATA ports I only have 2 small problems left... My PS2 keyboard will not work. It works fine in my iATKOS install. Internet is a lot slower than it is with iATKOS Does anyone know what kexts I could copy from my iATKOS drive to fix these problems? Thanks to Kalyway and everyone else here for the hard work and assistance. macmedude
Hey! OMG, m8 Read carefully the opener post.. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=77069 Actually I did install the Vanilla ACPI along with the Kernal when I installed Kalyway. I just didn't install any other options from the DVD. It seems to me that this should be easy to fix since sound and keyboard both work when I boot to my iATKOS install. What I'm wondering right now is if this just a matter of copying the appropriate kexts from the disk that has my iATKOS files, or is the problem elsewhere? I chose vanilla kernal when I installed iATKOS, so I don't think the problem is in the kernal. I just don't have any idea which kexts would need to be copies from iATKOS to Kalyway to make the sound and keyboards functional. If I'm wrong about kexts being the cause of the problem, please let me know. I'm still learning my way around OSX. Thanks to everyone who takes the time to help out on these forums.
