nekton Posted March 26, 2008 Share Posted March 26, 2008 Even with this nice installer, CCC clone proceeds OK with GUID partition and says the clone will be bootable, etc., but just ends up with flashing cursor on new disk. Before you do a Cloning prepare your new HD with EFI, then open CCC and do a "Backup everything", but uncheck the "Erase the target volume", and voilà... you have a perfect cloned and booting HD. SticMAC™ Posted March 26, 2008 Share Posted March 26, 2008 Ditto Remember, CCC as many others can only make HDD bootable for a Genuine Mac machine, therefore you have to make it bootable yourself! Use the Standard "pc_efi_v80" method.
