nahua
well i have a 200gb hard drive with 3 partirions: 1) 50GB Win XP (NTFS) 2) 40GB Mac OS X Leopard (iatkos 10.51) 3) 110 GB Free space for files (FAT32) so i can share files between the two operting systems. first y read millions of different reviews and videos on youtube. i started installing Leopard following the instructions and it "successfully installed". I boot i put "diskutil list" its rdisk0s2, so no problem y put fdisk -e /dev/rdisk0.. flag 2... etc.... and it says reboot all OK. but when i reboot i take off the Leopard DVD and doesnt boot Mac what am i doing wrong¿? later on i installed Win XP on the other partition and it works perfectly i can see the third partition. i tryied downloading a boot loader such us (os selector and osl2000) and they see the 3 partitions at startup. when i boot with the first partition (win xp) no problems. but when i boot with the second partition nothing appears could somebody be so kind and help me on some reasons on why could this happen? thanks. tips: my PC --> C2D e6420 (3,2 ghz), 2GB ddr2 1200 mhz 5-5-5-15, 200gb ata HD, Nvidia Gforce 8600gt, gigabyte DQ6, etc. something i read is that i need to put off one core of my processor.. is that a reason why it couldnt be working¿? Coadey
later on i installed Win XP It sounds like you don't have an MBR EFI bootloader now. See: http://forum.netkas.org/index.php/topic,81.0.html You can get the MBR version of boot1h and boot0 from /usr/standalone/i386/ on your install DVD, and startupfiletool/boot_v8 from: http://www.mediafire.com/?0xxzx0xsumg Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/95683-booting-problems/#findComment-682552 Share on other sites
