Alright, so I have a hackintosh, (specs are in sig). While my wireless isn't working yet, I do have hardwire, so I still can enjoy internet on my laptop. However, I am having some issues with my network. On my laptop I also have Vista, and that recognizes the other computer on the network (a PC running Vista connected to my LAN via Ethernet). However, Leopard only recognizes the Windows PC sometimes. It seems to do so randomly really. So, I am wondering if you have any small steps I could go through to see if I could get Leopard to more consistantly recognize my Vista comp. I will also need permission to view (and preferablly write) to files on the Vista comp. (Btw, I have it set up so file sharing works. Everything works Vista-to-Vista, I just now need to get Leopard working).

Sooo.... ideas?

I have similar problems....Internet works fine. However, a network is detected only between some computers. For example, a network might be detected with one laptop and not with the other. I have no idea why this happens. The only thing I can think of is some problem with the OSX86 ethernet kext and the network cards on the other laptops, since only some network cards are working.

For the ones which dont work, Network Diagnostics says that the network cable is unplugged. I've tried this with both XP and Vista
