dennisgodderie
Situation: Windows on 65 GB ntfs partition primary MacOs on 10 GB HFS+ partition primary Now I would like to split my 65 GB NTFS to 35 GB & 30 GB. Problem is that Partition Magic doesn't display the hard disk. (Yellow bordered with BAD written on it). Now is my question, is it possible to split the Windows partition so that I can backup data on the second? esc2
Bootable Linux iso (free). Burn to CD and boot up. Run QTParted which is a graphical partition manager newer than Partition Magic. It can create & resize NTFS partitions. I believe it recognizes HFS partitions but can't manage them. It's worked well for me with vista which partition magic chokes on too. Download for x86 (PC) SystemRescueCd-x86-0.2.16.iso (118 MB) http://www.sysresccd.org/Download http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/systemr...16.iso?download Note: If your windows files end up partly in two partitions it will be a problem. If you can't fresh install windows after splitting the partition maybe a defrag to get the files continuous will work to keep the windows installation in one partition.
