kaimaikid
Hi, installed Leopard-10.5.2-AMD-EFI on my pc as a dual boot, installs all the way until less than a minute to go and freezes, but strangley enough boots up nicely, even giving me the option to go back to xp but.... 1. doesn't recognise my PS2? keyboard, usb mouse ok but pointer flashes 2. for some reason, it gives me a 1516 inproper dismount error (using partition magic) for the xp (first) partition and won't go past the xp welcome screen where as the MacOS is booting fine - done this twice as I reformatted and started again but yet same result, do I need to install MacOS on first partition instead of xp? I don't know enough about partitions to remount the first partition when I get this error or how to fix it - the web doesn't seem to offer much of a solution as xp doesn't fully boot so that I can get into the cmd prompt. 3. graphics card seems to be supported and works well - love the wee movie at start up any help appreciated Processor: AMD Athlon™ 64 Processor 3000+ Motherboard: Gigabyte K8 Triton GA-K8VM800M Chipset: Gigabyte VIA K8M800 Graphics: ATI Radeon 9600 Pro AGP8X 256mb DDR, 128bit Harddrive: IDE WDC WD2500AAJB-00WGA0 Monitor: LG 22' L226WTQ 1680x1050 res Memory: DDR 2 x 512mb OS: Xp Home wanting Leopard Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/94538-1516-error-xp-partition-inproperly-dismounted/ Share on other sites
