Sazpaimon Posted February 20, 2006 Share Posted February 20, 2006 So I notice my battery is low on my Presario running OSX 10.4.3, so I go get my plug, the second I plug it in, the laptop just locks up; no error message, no "you dun fux up" in 50 different languages screen, just a lockup. So I try it again, this time unplugging, same problem. So I then tried booting with -x, that actually got it working, but if there are any suggestions on getting it to work in non safe boot mode, please do tell. Thanks in advance. Sazpaimon Posted February 21, 2006 Author Share Posted February 21, 2006 (Shameless bump, I know) Also, if I try to put the comptuer into sleep mode and plug it in, I can bring it out of sleep, and it'll function fine for a few seconds, then it'll crash. maq Posted March 8, 2006 Share Posted March 8, 2006 Weird, now it doesn't work. Now the battery meter works, but it freezes when I plug/unplug. Also, if I boot up unplugged, it freezes once it hits the desktop, unless I boot platform=acpi. I can boot unplugged just fine, with or without the file, however. I've attempted to upgrade to 10.4.5, which worked flawlessly, however the problem still arrises. Good to see someone with a simmilar problem though. It stopped freezing temporarily and for no apparent reason around a week ago, too, so I'm not keeping my hopes up... Now when it's plugged in it just shows an 'X' on the battery meter, and when it's unplugged it shows 100% and stays there. Weird stuff.
