KahNv2
Hi there, I had the chance to buy a very good mainboard and a cpu so I did it. But.. I cannot get the onboard graphics card to work. I have the Aopen i965GMA-lt MiniITX board with the X3100 onboard gpu on it. Every time I install the correct kext i get a realy scrambelled image. The mouse cursor is displayed fine, and the machine keeps on running correctly. But, i cant see what i am doing. When I remove the 3100 kext in safe mode, the computer starts up fine and I can use the hackintosh. I am working with the following build: IAktos 1.0i r3 Kalyway comboupdate 10.5.2 Applegraphicsupdate Also my ram isn't showing correctly. It says it has only 1GB installed, but i have 2gb installed. (also it is running on 55538Mhz ) Can someone please help me with my problems. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/94167-i965gma/ Share on other sites
KahNv2
Ok, I have found something interesting. I hooked up a new hdd and installed WinXP on it. (i unhooked the OsHack disk). On the windows install I could not select my native resolution (1680x1050x60hz). After installing the latest drivers from the intel website I finally could select the resolution. Maybe the X3100 drivers just need an update so that they can be displayed correctly. Mac mini's are running on GMA950, but the macbooks (not pro) run on X3100. I dont know the resolution on the macbooks, but It could be that this is not 1680x1050. Is there the answer to my problem?
