Dell i9300/x300 issue.

I got my dell i9300 running. I installed graphics via editing the x600 mobility package that came with jas to have my dev id.. it appeared to do the exact same thing as another guide for specifically installing x300.

 

I installed.. when i boot.. i get stuck at the spinning wheel screen.. but my mouse pointer pops up, and i can move it.. but it never boots fully into tiger.

 

When i boot into safe mode, it boots correctly and i can change resolution (no qe/ci though).

 

when i boot without -x, but with -v, i can see that it detects my video card, vram, and resolution.. but it gets stuck at "detecting airport". I am fairly certain that airport has nothing to do with it.

 

I guess my real question boils down to.. how can i find out which kexts safe mode is using so i can simply use them normally. Or rather, what does safe mode do to boot normally.
