interesting issue on booting after fresh install

ok i just installed osx86 with kalyway's osx10.5.1 dvd and the install went nicely after i disabled one of the cores on my cpu in the bios, but on booting i get the osx loading screen for a moment or two then the screen comes up with white and black vertical stripes and then goes blank completely, any ideas whats causing the problem?

intel core duo T2300e 1.66Ghz

2048mb RAM

80gb HDD

Ati mobility radeon X1300 graphics card

intel pro wireless 3945abg wifi card
