Hello,

I just tried to install tiger on a secondary hard drive. The install went smooth and when it finished, it said it was going to reboot. Although I still had my windows (primary) hard drive as primary boot, so it booted to that instead of the DVD. I shut it down and tried to boot from the secondary hard drive, but it said there was nothing to boot from. Then I booted from the DVD and tried to boot from there, but it just came back into the DVD.

How do I boot from the secondary hard drive after installation? I have read a few other posts that say to format the drive as FAT32 before install, so I am trying that now. Since the hard drive is only 20 gb, I can format it using windows, correct? When installing, should I leave the DVD boot as primary?

I am pretty new to this, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Okay. I just tried to reinstall with the hard drive preformatted to fat32... No luck. It says the same "No boot device" error. The thing is, even if I put the dvd in, it still doesn't boot. It just boots up to the installer. Is there something that I have to do in the terminal so that it will boot it next time i start from the DVD?

I think I have narrowed it down... I think that my BIOS is not allowing the OS X bootloader from the DVD boot from the hard drive because it is in the secondary slot.

I have a Dell Precision 360

3 ghz intel p4 cpu

2 gb ddr ram

Nvidia Quadro FX 500 video

Anyone? Ideas?? Solutions??? I would love to get this running and want to go with the regular install vs. the VMware install because of the speed difference.

Could somebody help me?
