I want to rid myself of Windows once and for all, and my next set up will be RAID 2x500GB (RAID 0 for R/W performance). Does anyone have any idea how to set this up with either of the above RAID controllers? JMicron works fine in Leopard if I set it to AHCI or IDE. When I first got my computer, I tried doing RAID then and failed. This is what I tried: - Apple DiskUtility RAID (off Kalyway's DVD) - failed with error 'could not mount the RAID volume' - Setting up JMicron RAID - wouldn't read it in DiskUtility - ICH9 - not tried, couldn't be bothered - The JMicron controller was fine as long as it was in IDE or AHCI (read). So from my last point there, does anyone know if I set it up as RAID, and switch it to AHCI, will it still be read as 1TB or just individual drives of 500GB? Please help me so I don't have to do a lot of trial-and-erroring... Kalyway's DVDs take sooo long to boot!!!! (but the wait is worth it ). If I get it working, I will ensure I write a guide.
