billsb Posted March 7, 2008 Share Posted March 7, 2008 Greetings, After installing iAKTOS 2 on my P5K-SE with SATA drives I get "IOKitWaitQuiet() timed out waiting to write kernel symbols" and it just sits there even after 1/2 an hour. The install go's fine and it boots up, finds my graphics card then I get that issue..... billsb. StarForge Posted March 8, 2008 Share Posted March 8, 2008 I think you mean the P5K-SE right? I have the same issue, so I'm back to running 10.5.1 in the meantime... I wonder if we should be using a different kernel? EDIT: Since making this post I thought I'd give a fresh install of Aitkos 1.0i with Kalyway 10.5.2 combo update a go... and you know what? It worked perfectly hehe. I think some kexts I had before or some other things must have interferred. Just don't replace the kernel and you should be good to go.
