2good2btru
I was wondering if there is a way to boot into my new OSx86 installation without needing to have the installation disc in the drive. The install went completely fine (on my P35-DS3L mobo), but in order to get into the OS I have to have the DVD in the drive. Is there some way to boot without needing the disc to be in the drive at all times? Thanks! 2good2btru
For some reason, that still doesn't work. Any thoughts on why? It seemed to have a problem on the '1' in line 4. I typed: fdisk -e /dev/rdisk0 update f 1 1 <-- this one gives me trouble. w q And then I reboot. After I reboot, I'm still required to use the disk. Any thoughts? Thanks! M_DoG
The reason you are having problems is because that "1" is not supposed to be there. It's supposed to be : fdisk -e /dev/rdisk0 (assuming thats your disk number) Flag 1 (assuming thats your partition number) Update Write Quit Reboot Not sure if that will fix the problem but at least its the proper order of things.
