Warstrong
After well over 100 hours spent attempting to run osx86 on my new system, I have basically given up on my stupid nForce 430 GA-M61P-S3 motherboard. That model number makes me cringe. First I will try to install to an IDE hard drive (my internal sata gets I/O errors in Disk Utility), but there is really no guarantee that it'l then allow me to install and more importantly, boot. The closest I believe I've gotten is with my USB hard drive. I got to the point where it was trying to load my video drivers and came up with errors that meant my video card wasn't working with the software. I might be able to replace my onboard video with a dedicated GPU, but I can't be sure that will happen or that it will fix my problems. So, to better plan out things, I'd like a recommendation for an AM2 socket motherboard that supports my AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+, my DDR2 800 G.Skill RAM, no less than 4 SATA ports, standard ATX size, and also an IDE port or two would be great. I think that's all. Keep it below $100 but not too low quality, and of course, great osx86 compatibility with both leopard and tiger. Also, graphics card recommendations would be appreciated, as I might be getting one as a gift. I'm surprised I didn't see a frequently updated thread showing different recommended motherboards at different prices. nonetheless..thanks very much everyone!
