So, continued from about 3-4 months of research around this forum and google, I finally attempted to install uPhuck 10.4.9 (for both AMD and Intel) onto my desktop.

After entering disk utility I "erased" the HDD (*at this time I unplugged my sata drive and only had this single IDE drive connected.) After this I selected the disk drive and continued with the install.

After the install completed it started to count down from 30 seconds. Then it restarted. But now my computer just hangs, I can't enter bios and I have no control at all. I tried connecting it to my other desktop, samething. No OS and no Bios.

Downloaded Seagate tools, and booted from floppy (you realise how hard it is to find one of these lol) but it still won't regognize the HDD.

Is there any type of disk tools I can use to get my HDD back to life? And then try this again. :(

Thanks in advance for any help. I'm hoping to try the JaS release next.

Ok, Im not an expert but here is my guess. Since you earased the HD under OSX it wont show up any more. Try poping in the XP cd and formating it via XP's install. Or try mounting the hd in a xp pc and format it Via My Computer / Manage / Storage screen?
