eddiegarza Posted February 12, 2006 Share Posted February 12, 2006 Installed using macosx_10.4.3_8f1111a_JaS_Patch_4.2b.iso when I boot -v option it kernal panics (screen shot below) . I also did a search and some other people have it working on this laptop with an external monitor connected but this doesnt seem to help my case. Any help appreciated! R. Bear Helms Posted February 12, 2006 Share Posted February 12, 2006 Quick suggestion would be to say platform=X86PC -v when starting up the system. Otherwise, it looks like it's having I/O trouble. I was under the impression Pentium M was one of the processors known NOT to run OSx86. Check the Wiki Hardware Compatibility List (HCL) for laptops. I did a search in the forums and it appears there is someone by the name of karmat that has it working on this model laptop. I am going to send him a PM to see what he used to do the install. There is an issue with ACPI so you have to use the 'acpi=off' boot parameter. I applied the JaS patch to 8f1111 and it just boots natively. I have no sound, though. Do you have sound working on the built-in Azalia chipset?
