Quick suggestion would be to say platform=X86PC -v when starting up the system. Otherwise, it looks like it's having I/O trouble.

I was under the impression Pentium M was one of the processors known NOT to run OSx86. Check the Wiki Hardware Compatibility List (HCL) for laptops.

Hello,

I just installed OSX and I have the same problem

I tried to write "platform=X86PC -v" but nothing changed

There shouldn't be any problem of compatibility (I found my hardware in the site)

Does anyone know how to resolve this problem ?

Thanks

Seb

PS : sorry for my english : I'm french

I'm pretty positive that the pentium M proc's work. I did a search in the forums and it appears there is someone by the name of karmat that has it working on this model laptop. I am going to send him a PM to see what he used to do the install.

Thanks for you help also, I did try what you mentioned about the boot param. but it seems to behave the same.

Heres the link to the post its a little down on the messages:

Eddiegarza sorry I just got your PM. Actually this is working on my XPS m140 without disabling ACPI. I applied the JaS patch to 8f1111 and it just boots natively. I have no sound, though. Do you have sound working on the built-in Azalia chipset?

Thanks
