supernov
Check your Bios settings. You need to set things like microcode to enabled, etc can't remember them exactly. Search for it on the forum. With the error on booting, maybe you didn't repair your permissions for the kernel extensions (from the dvd in the terminal; chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extensions/* and chmod -R 755 /System/Library/Extensions/*). You can also do the same for the mach_kernel to be sure; chown -R root:wheel mach_kernel and chmod -R 644 mach_kernel. Also, did you install the kernel extensions from the tweaked Leopard installation? PhiloSOF
Also, did you install the kernel extensions from the tweaked Leopard installation? How do i do that? Sorry i'm new in this area .. When i customized Kalyway installtion i chechked to install that SSE2 CPU stuff ... can't remmember excatly . Also when i downloaded instalation DVD i also got another image file along with it it was something about Intel_SSE_and_SSE2cpu or something like that but when i burned it it's empty CD .. can't even boot from it. I'm sorry i'll give you exact file names when i get home (i'm @work now ) And once again i apologize for my (probably) dumb questions but as i said i'm new to this but i would really like to give it a try P.S. I will try to fix kernel permisions and see if that helps just tell me do i do that for Kalyway's release (one that give's me "You have ti restart... " screen or for ToH release (one that won't boot) Thx Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/89364-please-help/#findComment-637461 Share on other sites
