HorstKöhler
I had the same Problem- with Metric Halo, as well as Apogee Interfaces. Simple Solution: get a Firewire Card with Texas Instruments Chip and you should be fine. ~cheers Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/89057-1052-metric-halo-2882-stuttering-problem/#findComment-1095509 Share on other sites
starobrno1
Isn´t it TI chipset in the onboard FW on this mobo, I used to have one and I´m pretty sure it is. Worked ok with my saffire Pro 10 i/o so my guess is´s something else causing this. IciniMac
Hi, have you fixed it yet? I had the same problem and discovered that the TI Firewire solution did not address it. In the end I was able to isolate it to running Quartz Extreme on an NVidia graphics card. You can check if this is the problem by running Quartz Debug from the Developer tools. My fix was to get a Radeon card and turn off Quartz Extreme, now the Metric Halo unit works just fine. Good luck Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/89057-1052-metric-halo-2882-stuttering-problem/#findComment-1162675 Share on other sites
