BIG
Although I've done some searching to find a proper topic describing what to do exactly about qe on Radeon9550 I was not able to find one. So I decided to post on myself to ask you what do I exactly need to do to enable qe on my humble computer. I have tried all of the Callisto distros with a result of having my graphics card resolutions natively changed through cal006-008 but nothing more than that. I am using Kalyway's 10.5.2 Update and the patched kernel through Kalyway's kernels. Have downloaded the graphics update which took rid of the horrible mouse tearing but it did nothing for qe. My card is recognized as an "ATI Radeon 9600 Pro" from Darwin with VESA 2.0 but only 16Mb of memory though I can see the right Memory through the system profiler which is 256mb. My installation is as follows: a) Intel Pentium4 HT 3Ghz, 1Gb ram, c) 775i65g Asrock mobo, d) AC 97 sound card. I really need a solution since I am using Time Machine which is horrible without qe!!! Krazubu
This card isn't supported with leo. You can get it working with tiger. It requires flashing to 9600 then using the usual method.
