Hey all,

Looking for a bit of advice. I've got an ASUS P5B motherboard. I've used it in various builds of Tiger and Leopard. The current build I'm using in iAtkos 10.5.1 upgraded to 10.5.2. The problem I've got is two fold.

Firstly, no matter what the build, I've never been able to get the power management to work in the system. I just turn it off. I would like to try and get this working, and at least be able to power the screen off and on, let alone put it into sleep mode.

Secondly, since the installation of 10.5.1, I've not been able to get the system to restart or shutdown. It normally goes through the shutdown routine, puts the monitor into standby, and I have to manually hold the power button in to power the system off. Restart goes through the same.

So, is there any kext's I'm missing, that I should have installed? Or is there a specific BIOS setting I should enable or disable?

ASUS P5B motherboard.

E6420 Core 2 Duo (Slightly overclocked)

4Gb RAM

80Gb SATA HDD

Optiarc 7170s SATA ODD

iAtkos 10.5.1 with PC EFI upgraded to 10.5.2. No kexts restored in the upgrade.

Cheerie,

Monty
