incubator
Hi, I want to install Mac OSX86 10.5.1 (or 10.4.8 if the leopard won't work on my system) on both a desktop machine and a laptop. However I do not know what hardware is supported by this OS. I've already looked around but I dont know which drivers are included and work and which ones I need to find elsewhere. Therefore I was wondering if the following 2 hardware setups would work for running leopard on it: Desktop system: Asus K8N motherboard AMD64 3000+ 2.09Ghz Asus N6800TD (Nvidia Graphics card) Creative Soundblaster PCI 128, in linux it needs the ensniq 3173 driver (very old sound card, but there is also an AC'97 Realtek chip on the motherboard just in case) U.S. Robotics 997902 I think, in Linux it needs the Realtek 8139 driver Laptop system: Toshiba Sattelite M60 (Mobo unknown) Intel Pentium M Centrino 1.7 Ghz ATI Radeon Mobility X700 Realtek AC97 Audio Intel Pro Wireless2200BG Network controller (not a problem if this one wont work) Realtek RTL8139/810x Family fast ethernet NIC (same chipset as teh US Robotics card) Both setups have a SATA disk so I hope this won't be a problem. I don't intent to run any opengl/3d games on it, I want to develop on both machines, so if there are driver for this hardware that can make me do this with the graphical eye candy from mac, I'd be a happy man Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/86970-hardware-compatibilities/ Share on other sites
