House212
Hi all, I just recently installed Tiger on a separate partition with my Vista Ultimate and everything worked fine, I booted from the cd after it installed then restart. So once I took the CD out and pressed F8 and -v for Darwin to load it started loading. However, it then stopped and restarted. So then I set the Mac OS X partition as active using diskpart, but then I get an HFS partition error. But when I make the Vista partition active it loads up Darwin perfectly until in restarts. Any suggestions? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/86601-load-then-restart/ Share on other sites
Slinger2g
You need to install Tiger on the primary partition and Vista on the secondary partition. Then boot with "-legacy" to dual boot both partitions at the darwin prompt. House212
Thanks Slinger2g for the suggestion. You were right and didn't install or flag the right partition. My mistake, after I did everything over it worked out fine. But today I got a leopard disc so now I have leopard lol that installed perfectly, now all I have to work out is the display kinks and I'll be all set.
