Well I finally did it.

Ethernet does not work thoughts?

system sees 8800gtx after nvinject but I can't change resolution to 1920x1200. Thoughts?

sound works because I'm using a creative xmod

shutdown and restart works

hasn't crashed on me yet

system doesnt boot unless I use cpus=1 at boot

I used this method to re-enable 1152x864 on my old CRT monitor. Its the highest resolution I can have while still at 75hz refresh rate. Been using my laptop for so long I forgot how much 60hz hurts your eyes @_@

Just to modify it a bit, instead of using the terminal, right-click on the folder the particular file is in and go to info. Click the lock at the bottom and type your password. Click the "+" button and add your account to the list with read & write permission. Do the same for the file itself or you won't be able to write to it. Always keep a backup just in case and reset the permissions when you're done.

You don't have to do this for EVERY folder getting to it, just the top folder the file is actually located in.

Edit: Or you can read the last sentence in the guide and do it that way too, lol. Much easier
