drho2004
Hello A Inspiron was given to me with a bad hardrive. I took an old hardrive from an old Tibook 550, and voila it boots. I installed Jas 10.4.8 and it worked except for the grayscale problem some have mentioned. I read it was a BIOS issue, that I need to increase the size from 1mb to 8mb in the BIOS. Well the original BIOS was version A06 and it didnt have an option to increase the vid mem. So i updated the BIOS to the latest i can find for the 1150: A07. Still no luck. I have been searching and searching online and on these forums, but there seems to be no real answer on what BIOS people were using to change the vid mem size. Would anyone know this? What about flashing the 1150 with the BIOS from a different Dell laptop that will give me the option? Thanks for all the help Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/85855-dell-inspiron-1150/ Share on other sites

Gamefreak4691
try bay-wolf.com to get the BIOS version A06, or click this link below: http://www.bay-wolf.com/flashbios.htm It is in an .ISO image you will have to burn it or if you can do it manualy through the OS.
