ooservechilledoo
Hello everyone! I have a little problem with dual booting Windows and OSX Leopard using the Darwin bootloader! First, here are some specs. and infomation about what i did: HDD 1: 250GB First Partition: 50 GB NTFS for Windows XP Second Partition: 50 GB HFS+ for OSX Leopard (iATKOS v. 1.0) - First thing I did was installing Windows on the first partition --> everything worked fine - In Windows, I formatted the second partition as FAT32 - Now I installed OSX on the second partition (Checked "Darwin EFI bootloader at Customizing Installation) --> everything worked fine Now, when I boot my PC, the Darwin bootloader comes up and shows me the following options: hd(0,1) Windows NTFS hd(02) OSX The first option boots windows as it should (yeah, great! )) The second option should, in my opinion, boot OSX. But it doesn't... When I try to select it, the sceen just "flickers" and gets back to the bootloader. I now it's a bit hard to describe... It seems like the second option, which SHOULD boot OSX, just boots the bootloader again... even with -v or -s or anything else I have the same effect. I hope you understand what I mean. If not, I'll make a video of it ) If you need any more Information, please let me know! Thank you! macgirl
it appears that you have a uncompatible kernel (from the simptoms you described). Which kernel do you have, vanilla or ToH and which version? did you try with -legacy boot flag? ooservechilledoo
Thanks for answering! I don't know exactly which kernel I have. I couldn't choose one at installation. Is it possible to boot from DVD with -s and then type "uname -r"? I tried to boot with "-legacy" --> same result Thank you!
