Maddux Posted January 26, 2008 Share Posted January 26, 2008 I tried the installation of the flat image, but it gets stuck at the gray boot screen, there appears a sign on the middle of my screen above the apple (a little "not permitted" sign) Anyone knows how to fix this? Running on: mobo: Asus P5B cpu: Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 (2.4ghz) ram: 2 * 1 gb corsair DDR-2 (@ 667 mhz) HDD: Maxtor 160 GB (SATA2) (also 2 other hdd's, but installation is on this one) graphics card: Sapphire ATI Radeon 2600 HD (would this be the problem?) Maddux Posted January 27, 2008 Author Share Posted January 27, 2008 it keeps saying: Package 0 didn't get an HPET, after a while when he has said that message twenty-thirthy times it says: still waiting for root device... I don't know what it means and how to fix it... *edit*: got the Package 0 didn't get an HPET error removed, but still got the "still waiting for root device" problem... I deleted: AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext and extensions.kext, so now I'm stuck...
