cjonathan
I've got an older Shuttle system (SB75s) with ToH's RC2 release of Leopard installed on it. I've been trying to install Kalway's 10.5.1 DVD, but I'm getting the same problem as many others, in that it won't boot to the installer, but instead reboots in an endless loop after loading files off the DVD. I've spent several hours reading the Kalway thread and haven't been able to figure out if there's a workaround here. I can't modify the BIOS settings some suggest modifying (don't even see the options there), and I've got both my DVD drive and my hard disk hooked up via IDE. I haven't installed EFI or GUID/MRB or anything like that. Is there any workaround for this yet? Any links or information would be very much appreciated, as I've spent quite a bit of time on this forum researching the problem. Thanks in advance. hardware
greetings, I have the same problem as you. I have a dell latitude d600 with a centrino Pentium M 1.4 gig processor ... all the dvd does is to reboot and loop over and over ... however I heard someone on the forum gotten kalyway to work on their centrino Pentium M system ... ... I guess it has a lot to do with luck ... either kalyway like your system or it does not ... timmer_421
Well I am trying to install Kaly right now. I am definately Experiencing issues. When I boot to the disk, After the grey screen with the apple, It hangs on a blue screen. I cannot get it to do anything from there. I have been searching the forums, but nothing yet. Perhaps it is a video card issue, but when I plug a monitor into the port, I do not get anything on the other monitor. Also, The first time i booted it to the dvd, it came up perfectly, but the dvd was damaged around the 98% on the disk chek. Now when I try to boot to the dvd, the good one and the bad one, they both come up as a blue screen. Any suggestions? thanks. basically It boots to the installer when it wants to, and doesn't when it doesn't want to. I have no idea what is going on with it right now.
