menuhin
Hi all, I have a weird syndrome on my Kalyway 10.5.1: Occasionally when I reboot or shutdown without any modification to the systme, I have trouble booting up again (has to boot again for the 2nd time), and at least my soundcard does not work most of the time (when it has worked previously and then after rebooting it does not work 100%) However, in a "perfect hardware running" boot up i.e. sound and everything work, if I just hold the power button and do a "hard shutdown", everything works when I boot it up again I want to say that the forced "updating boot caches..." at the reboot or shutdown of the system has come to some incomplete updating, and rendering some boot caches (kext) problems How can I disable the "updating boot caches..."? I have tried Kaly's default restoration package, but that doesn't help Please help me to locate the logoff / shutdown / reboot script in OSX Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/82697-how-to-disable-updating-boot-caches-in-reboot-shutdown/ Share on other sites
