skater
I followed the http://www.profit42.com/guides.php?id=1 guide for macosx_10.4.3_8f1111_for_dtk_userdvd.dmg . Now, I have two partitions . n°1 NTFS with XP and the n°2 create with diskpart , create partition id=af , wich is now active . OSX installer is looking for a volume to install os . None appears . I run Disk Utility . It can see my HD , the 2 partitions . So, here 's the question : can I FORMAT THE N 2 PARTITION IN HFS WITHOUT ALTERING THE FIRST XP PARTITION OR DO I HAVE TO PERFORM A COMPLETE REFORMATTING OF THE ENTIRE DISK, THUS ERASING XP ? Thanks for help . Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/8186-almost-done-but/ Share on other sites
Technobob
You will be fine, just go ahead and format it HFS+ it won't harm your XP install Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/8186-almost-done-but/#findComment-50861 Share on other sites
skater
Disk Utility warns me that partitioning a disk will erase everything . I locked the first partition ( locker symbol activated) . So, Are you sure it won't damage the first partition, because this is not what Disk Utility says ?
