Tom-Acintosh
Hello there, first I want to thank the community. Without you my project would not have been successful! Here are the specs with which i installed osx 10.4.11: - Gigabyte GA-35-DS3P - Intel 6850 2x3Ghz - 4GB ram (4x 1GB kingston PC667) - XFX Geforce 7900GT - Seagate Barracuda ST3400 (400 GB SATA-HD) - Pioneer DVR-115D DVD RW (IDE?!) - D-Link DWL-G122 USB WLAN - Hercules FW16/12 Audiointerface - Samsung 24" Widescreen FullHD (first DVI) - Samsung 19" 1280x1024 (second DVI) Installation: - xXx 10.4.11 - EFI 8 GUID - natid dual 0.2 - ICHR9 - ALC889a It works great! I tested it with Adobe CS3 with multiple layers in 5x5 meters with 300dpi and some filter. absolutly great! 48 tracks in apple logic with 4 effects or dynamics per track. (something about 50% cpu average). I am absolutly happy with this machine. ... but There left two problems. First one is that sometimes I'm watching a DVD or trying to rip a dvd the system frozes and i have to shut down the computer. Anyone knows this problem? The second one is that the "get info" for a volume, folder or file is not working. If I try the finder restarts. So again: Thanks to the community. Maybe someone of you can help me to fix the last two issues Greetings Tom Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/81328-my-first-homebrew-mac-and-two-problems/ Share on other sites
