Can anyone clear this up for me?

Ok what patches does a prepatched wesley iso have on it?

 

I am running into a strange issue where only the mouse appears everything else is black.

 

Here's what I do.

 

1. Install from wesley pre patched - I have not applied any ppfs to it.

2. Once in I boot from DVD and install the Maxxus-SSE2 and Anti-TPM patch 0.5 reboot

3. Install the Maxxus SeedUpdate.

 

Then here is the kicker. Sometimes it will boot fine, but the GUI is slow since I haven't installed ATI drivers.

Sometimes when it reboots it is already doing the mouse cursor only thing. Otherwise,

 

4. Copy Extensions folder from extensions.zip in the ATI 10.4.4 thread to /System/Library/Extensions.

Then chown, chmod and kextcache it.

 

If I hadn't gotten the cursor problem before this is where it shows up.

 

If I boot into -S user mode from dvd and restore the old Extensions folder and permissions, I still have the problem. I can't use -S mode on the OS its self keyboard doesn't work.

 

I'm running K8N-E, x800, AMD 754 3200.

 

My first installs would install ATI drivers fine, but were unstable and I hadn't used the Maxxus patches.

 

I'm wondering if I should install the ATI drivers first, then install the maxxus patches and if so which ones.

 

If you guys can point out the proper things and order that would be great.

 

Edit: Almost forgot, I can boot the OS -x and it works super, but QE and CI are not supported.

 

I also would like to install the Maxxus CI buffer, but have not because I don't want to add another variable to my problem.
