Pjay1376 Posted December 29, 2007 Share Posted December 29, 2007 Hi, I am a newbie in the hackintosh world I installed Hackintosh on my Asus P5w DH with 4 gigs of ram and a 500 gig Western digital and a Nvidia graphic card I used the patched dvd by Brazilmac I did the update to 10.5.1 but had to patch after words Everything works great like a charm. Although I have to boot with the dvd in the computer, cause without it, leopard won't boot. I want to install the EFI patch so I don't need the dvd anymore and that it sees my computer has a Mac and not a PC I've tryied a few post on this site and nothing works for me...when I boot up I have a blinking cursor...etc... I've tryed with the pc_efi_v51, etc.... Can someone help me achieve that goal... Thanks a lot for all of you out there who are trying to help us newbie for free.. borisbadenov Posted December 30, 2007 Share Posted December 30, 2007 OK, there are a few things you might have to patch to get your system running just right. You will need to replace the SMBIOS kext and also add in the dsmos kext. Don;t forget to repair the permissions. Also, you might need to delete the Apleintelcpupowermanagement kext The other thing you might need to fix is to make your drive bootable.
