gfindlay1
I have already done searching through the forum for an answer, but could not find one for this specific problem. I appreciate your help! I have 3 IDE PATA hard drives laying around, and I would like to connect them all to my computer, so I bought a PCI Controller Card and hooked them up with a ribbon cable. Here's a picture of what the box looks like: I can make it work and recognize the hard drives on my Windows XP partition, after installing the drivers on the CD. Is there a way to make it work in OS X? Thanks for your help! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/76904-pci-controller-card-help/ Share on other sites
gfindlay1
I'm bumping this thread because I need help within the next few days so if there's no hope for this card I can return it. Please someone let me know about this card!!! Or if you can recommend a card that can do what I need, please post that. Thanks. gfindlay1
I'm guessing from the lack of responses, no one else is interested in doing this or has done what I'm trying to do before. I did more searching and even though I couldn't find a definitive answer, a number of other OSx86 users said they would connect more IDE Hard Drives with a PATA-SATA converter. (Plug the PATA side into the HDD and then the SATA side into the Motherboard.) I went ahead and ordered one off Ebay because it was $2. I'll let you know how it works when I get it.
