Maben
Is there a way that I can put Leopard, Tiger, etc on an external hard drive and boot from it on a Windows XP or Vista computer? Thanks. thestevo
Yes, you can do this. The proceedure is the same as normal, AS LONG AS you have the ability to boot from a USB drive in your BIOS. Boot Camp
Like stevo said don't forget to make sure your BIOS supports USB boot before you install OSx on it... ...I learned that the hard way...... ...and it was the only computer I had...... .....ouch.... Virus372841
Hey guys, Unfortunately, installing on an External Drive isn't as easy as it sounds - believe me, I've tried over a dozen times with no luck whatsoever. Every time, the installation goes smoothly until the first boot - and then, nothing - the system freezes at the grey boot screen with the spinning cursor. I'm running an AMD notebook using and wanted to install the JaS 10.4.5 version (one of the most stable 10.4 versions, if I remember correctly) - is it possible that I need to load the OSX bootloader onto the USB drive?
