Kibitz Posted December 9, 2007 Share Posted December 9, 2007 Hi! I did install Uphuck 10.4.9 v1.4 on my notebook Amilo Pi 2530. I than did install PC_EFI 5.2 and did a filesystem check and did repair permissions (booting from Uphuck DVD again). It does boot well. I have a genuine installation set DVD Tiger 10.4.10 from my iMac (mid 2007). May I extract the vanilla kernel from this DVD and put it on my notebook? If yes, which kexts do I have to extract from the 10.4.10 DVD and replace older kexts? Will I than be able to make an automatic update with the software update tool in system preferences?.
