macpopsicle
So i broke down and bought a copy of XP for my MacPro, installed it through bootcamp and everything is shiny. The activation screen comes up and i choose activate over the internet. doesn't work. Call the microsoft people and read them that ginourmous number and it doesn't work. generate a new one and it still doesn't come up as valid. Their suggestion is to buy another copy of XP. ummmm, no. Are is there a way to get around this so i don't have to reinstall XP every 30 days? xplizid
If you bought a legitament copy they will have to provide you with a new activation number I've heard ppl after 5 installs have to renew or get a new one I dont know if thats true. If its a downloaded copy and the activation has been black flagged that is why you would have to then provide proof of purchase. There are many illegal ways all which are not recommended and would not suggest you do which are find a crack i think they still work or obtain a school activation number or try a disc that came with your pc most work.
