punkrockml13
Leopard is prompting me to identify my keyboard but it never finds it. I'm using a standard dell ps/2 keyboard with a usb mouse. I read that editing the /etc/rc file and adding: kextunload /System/Library/Extensions/ApplePS2Controller.kext/Contents/PlugIns/ApplePS2Keyboard.kext kextload /System/Library/Extensions/ApplePS2Controller.kext/Contents/PlugIns/ApplePS2Keyboard.kext ... will make the ps/2 keyboard recognized under leopard while using the usb mouse, but leopard doesn't have an "rc" file in the /etc/ folder... So does anyone know how to get my keyboard working? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/74282-ps2-keyboard-and-usb-mouse/ Share on other sites
macgirl
If you don't have a PS/2 mouse, you can delete ApplePS2Mouse.kext to avoid conflicts. I connected a PS/2 mouse in order to populate the 2 ports, I dont use the PS/2 mouse but the USB one.
