guido45 Posted November 30, 2007 Share Posted November 30, 2007 I've managed to get OSX (JaS OS 10.4.8 SSE2 SSE3) installed on this laptop, onboard network works, USB pen drive and mouse detected fine - but there are a couple of things that would be great to get fixed: Video - ATI Radeon IGP 345M (vendor ID 0x1002, device ID 0x4337) Stuck at 1280x756 Sound - ADI SoundMAX (vendor ID 0x10b9, device ID 0x5451) No sound at all, no devices installed in system preferences I have searched through these forums and google for any clues to help me sort this out but it looks like nobody has documented getting this working. I've tried various methods that I have found, but no joy so far - and I am now having to reinstall as I managed to break the install! Now, I know this laptop is an old piece of cr-p, but it's all I can afford!! guido45 Posted December 4, 2007 Author Share Posted December 4, 2007 Well I managed to get Katana from this forum to at least give me more video options - I now have resolutions at 640x480, 800x600 and 1024x768 (!) and there are several refresh rates to choose from. Still nothing on the audio though, but I have found that the M5451 soundcard is the same as the SIS7018 and the Trident 4DWave DX/NX. There's no info on those either...
