cheztir
I was looking into buying an Apple Powerbook Pismo (G3 Series) a while back. But i wished for something faster than a G3 but more student-cost friendly than a G4 Powerbook. I saw an ad for a V2000 HP Notebook in the paper today and was looking at the specs and it seems to fit the ideal OS X requirements. My setup was at $563: Celeron 360 M (1.4ghz) Intel Media 900 256MB DDR 40GB HD 12cell battery (double capacity) 54g Wireless (Broadcom Chipset) 8x DVD Drive. (I have no need to burn on a laptop) If someone sees any problems with this setup will they let me know. Most importantly has anyone tried OS X on this machine or a similar setup. These are very nice machines. but my friend who has on won't let me try putting OS X onto his. Btw, with a 12cell battery reviews are stating about 6 hours of battery. munky
sounds pretty perfect... GMA900 is fully supported, broadcom should work as AirPort... sounds like a sweet deal.
