techfella
Well I'm only a few days into running OSx on my Dimension 3000, it's really a cool OS I must admit. I started with the Mac.nub release of Tiger 10.4.10 and updated to Leopard with the THo release. I didn't think it would run at all because my P4 2.8 CPU is only SSE2. I had some problems with hardware to start but got everything to work somehow. So much reading I can't remember exactly what I did. Anyway, some of the applications and widgets seem to crash. I can't get the "about this Mac" to come up (it starts but never appears). The calendar app crashes too. I'm really new to all this kernel and kexts stuff. So if someone could point me to some solution based info and maybe a tutorial or two that would be great. I hear people always talking about one kernel being more stable than another, but I'm clueless about it all. I could use some help here. keeping hope alive!
