Hi,

I have installed Tiger in the past (Jos 10.4.8 and Uphuck 1.4a successfully). One day I booted back into Tiger and my mouse didn't work at all, was just stuck in the top left corner. So I just said forget it and just used Windows for then, and ended up reformatting later on. Now I'm trying to install Tiger again and during installation when the screen first pops up after loading the mouse is in the top left corner stuck. The mouse itself has its lights turned on, but doesn't function. The keyboard seems to not function either. I don't know why this suddenly happened out of nowhere but it has me puzzled. I can't figure out what the problem is.

Here are my specs -

Motherboard - Abit AN8 32x

CPU - AMD 64 X2 4800+

HD - SATA 120gb

Update- Sorry meant to add this info -

Mouse - USB

Keyboard - PS2

I've tried unplugging mouse to try to use only keyboard, and keyboard still did not function. I can't try with keyboard unplugged orelse it just brings to boot options and tells me to type in any extra options which I can't without the keyboard. Don't have a USB keyboard I can test with. Would testing with a usb keyboard be something I should try?

Has anyone else had a similar problem like this? I'd appreciate any help.

Thanks

ya dude its driving me nuts too. The really strange thing is in the past it worked with the same exact hardware, which means I must have made some kind of change to BIOS or some type of hardware must be connected that's causing this....I have my bios settings reset to default and I've tried unplugging certain things...no luck, its driving me insane! I really wanna try Leopard out but I need a Tiger installation first. Weird thing is I try the Leopard patched disk I made and the mouse works on that, but I get an error during install. I might try re-burning that or something....but I wish I could get tigers mouse working for install...does anyone have any idea why this is happening?
